This sculptural cob memorial is a contemplative space dedicated to the memory of a bicyclist who lost his life at this intersection in 1998. A cob column with niches for flowers includes artwork made from recycled materials and bicycle parts, and will be topped by a beautiful solar-powered stained-glass lantern and green roof. The memorial will collect rainwater to nourish a raised permaculture garden. A cob and stone wall and seat was built for the community. This project is part of an ongoing effort by many neighbors to promote pedestrian and bicycle safety.

May the Creator Spirit bless this place and keep safe all who pass by.

May we remeber Matt and all who have loved and lost someone but were delighted they ever knew them.

May each in our own way come to see this Holy ground.

May the Holy Spirit guide us as we seek to heal and nurture this Earth adn all it's creatures.

To live in the midst of Creation and to love one another with all of life,

and may we travel from this moment forward in awareness of our communities where ever they may be.
