Start from Spruce Run County Park. From Portland take Highway 26. After the Jewel Junction (1/4 mile east of
Elsie) go left on Lower Nahalem Road. It is easy to miss. If you get to the town of Elsie turn around and go back to
catch the road. Follow to Spruce Run County Park. Parking is free in the day use area. First and last 15 miles are
hard packed gravel and pavement, good enough for heavy duty road bike tires. Traffic is very light, and it is likely that you will see
wildlife along the route.
